Armed assailants have taken the life of an instructor and seized a minimum of 25 learners in an raid targeting a female high school in north-western Nigeria, police reports indicate.
The armed faction invaded the public educational institution for female students in Kebbi State's Maga area at approximately 04:00 local time on Monday, police confirmed.
The assailants "exchanged fire with security forces on duty in a shootout" before climbing over the boundary wall and taking the pupils captive from their living quarters, according to a statement.
